GW Baseball Tryouts
Players interested in trying out for GW Baseball should plan to keep this entire week available.
Official tryout days, times and the complete evaluation schedule are still being finalized. Additional information will be posted here as we get closer to the start of the spring season.
Tryout Week
The 2027 tryout period is planned for the week of February 22nd–26th. Players should keep the full week available.
Evaluation
Players will be evaluated through baseball activities designed to give the coaching staff an opportunity to assess their current skills and readiness.
Final Schedule
Specific days, times, evaluation activities and additional tryout information will be announced as details are finalized.
Preseason & Spring Tryouts
Participation in GW Baseball fall, winter or preseason development opportunities is voluntary and separate from official spring tryouts.
Participation in offseason programming does not guarantee a roster spot, and choosing not to participate does not prevent an eligible GW student from trying out in the spring.
Be Ready
Players are responsible for making sure they are eligible and properly cleared to participate before official tryouts begin. Final registration and clearance instructions for 2027 will be communicated as the season approaches.

PRESEASON DEVELOPMENT
Preseason is the final development period leading into official spring baseball tryouts.
The structure of the 2027 preseason program is currently being developed. Training opportunities will be based on coaching availability, field and facility access, weather, and the needs of the players participating.
Specific programming, schedules, locations and participation information will be announced as details are finalized.
Baseball Development
Opportunities for hitting, throwing, defensive work and competitive baseball preparation as available.
Physical Preparation
Strength, movement, arm-care and physical preparation may be incorporated based on available training opportunities.
Spring Preparation
The goal is simple: give players opportunities to prepare themselves for the demands of spring baseball and official tryouts.
