GW PATRIOTS BASEBALL

MORE THAN A SPRING SEASON

GW Baseball is built around player development and a clear program standard. Our goal is to develop better baseball players while teaching the discipline, accountability and preparation required to represent George Washington High School the right way.

THE PROGRAM

DEVELOPMENT DOESN'T START AT TRYOUTS.
IT DOESN'T END WITH THE FINAL OUT.

GW Baseball creates opportunities throughout the year for players to prepare, train, compete and continue developing. Those opportunities may change from season to season, but the expectations of the program remain the same.

01

DEVELOP

Build the skills, strength, baseball knowledge and habits required to become a better player.

02

COMPETE

Learn to compete with confidence, preparation and the willingness to respond when the game gets difficult.

03

REPRESENT

Understand that wearing GW means your effort, attitude and actions represent something bigger than yourself.

THE OPPORTUNITIES MAY CHANGE.

THE STANDARD DOESN'T.

BUILT ON OUR CULTURE

THE GW BASEBALL STANDARD

Talent matters. Development matters. Winning matters. But none of it replaces the standard we expect from the people who represent GW Baseball.

L

LEGACY

Leave the program better than you found it.

A

ACCOUNTABILITY

Own your preparation, effort, attitude and actions.

D

DISCIPLINE

Do what the standard requires — consistently.

D

DETERMINATION

Compete through adversity. Keep working.

R

REPRESENT

Understand that your actions represent more than yourself.

WHAT IT MEANS TO BE A PATRIOT

WE DON'T ASK FOR PERFECTION.
WE EXPECT THE STANDARD.

Players will make mistakes. They will fail. That's part of baseball and part of development. What matters is how they prepare, how they respond and whether they are willing to be coached.

LEGACY ACCOUNTABILITY DISCIPLINE DETERMINATION REPRESENT

ONE TEAM. ONE STANDARD.

CLIMB THE LADDR.
