Cobalt Summer Baseball 2026
Serious development for players who want more than just games.
Summer and fall baseball for athletes who want to train, compete, and prepare the right way.
What Is Cobalt Summer Baseball?
Cobalt Summer Baseball is a development-first summer and fall program built for players who actually want to get better — not just collect games.
We train and compete under the Cobalt Baseball umbrella, with a clear focus:
- Skill development — hitting, defense, arm care, decision-making
- Strength & movement training that complements baseball
- Smart game reps — tournaments, league play, and intrasquads that have a purpose
- College-ready habits — communication, accountability, preparation, and standards
This is not rec baseball. This is for athletes who want to:
- Play college baseball, or
- Become the best high school version of themselves
You don’t have to want to play in college to be here — but you do have to be willing to work at that level.

How Cobalt Connects to GW Patriots Baseball
In the spring, players compete for their high school. In the summer and fall, our development system runs through Cobalt Baseball.
For GW players:
- Cobalt Summer is the clear off-season pathway that matches what we expect in the spring.
- The standards, language, and culture are aligned with GW Patriots Baseball.
- You do not have to want to play college baseball to play at GW — but we’re going to hold the standard high so every player has the option.
For non-GW players:
- Cobalt is a neutral, development-first environment.
- You keep your own high school identity, but train under our Cobalt standards.
- We respect your school, your coaches, and your schedule.
You’re in the right place. This is the official summer development pathway we recommend to our GW families.
Expectations & Standards
This program only works if players, parents, and coaches are aligned. Here’s what we expect.
Players
- Show up — to games, training, and meetings
- Communicate early about conflicts
- Compete hard and practice harder
- Be coachable, respectful, and team-first
- Take care of your body and arm between sessions
Parents
- Support your athlete by supporting the standards
- Let coaches coach; no drama, no politics
- Communicate questions directly with the staff
- Understand playing time is earned, not guaranteed
Coaches
- We will teach, not just organize
- We will be honest about where an athlete stands
- We will push players, but not demean them
- We will align what we say with what we do
